Every four or five years the Plumtree Church flower ladies hold a themed flower festival to raise money for charity. In 2014 the theme was "In our Lifetime" and the festival was held over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Although the weather wasn't too good, the event was very well attended.

For those of you who couldn't visit the flower festival, here is a peek at what you missed. And remember, there won't be another one for at least four years.

The flower festival was a great success and raised over £6,000, which will be used to support the following charities: Alzheimer's Research, Emmaus, The Samaritans (Nottingham), South Notts Riding for the Disabled, and Plumtree Church.
