Plumtree Church

Planned GivingHome / Church Life / Get Involved / Planned Giving

St Mary's Church in Plumtree, has stood as a landmark in the ecclesiastical parish of Plumtree for over 1100 years, and has served the community in times of joy and sorrow. It is our heritage, and for many it is a place of faithful worship and service. It is a focus for our community life together, deserving our support to carefully and lovingly maintain it, not only for our benefit but for future generations.

However, all this comes at a cost. So we ask for financial support via regular (planned) giving to enable us to maintain our church and continue to fund the work of care in our communities.

We have recently reviewed our financial commitments and need to take action now to meet them. So, during 2017, we decided to extend our Planned Giving Programme to encourage anyone who has a connection with our Church to give a regular donation, however small, towards its upkeep.

Planned Giving is a convenient way of helping the church from the comfort of your own armchair. To help you reach a decision, you can download an information leaflet.

If you feel you can help financially with the running costs of Plumtree Church, please download our Promise Form which contains a bank standing order form.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK tax payer, please consider gift-aiding your contributions, as the church may be able to reclaim tax on the amount given. To do this please tick the Gift Aid box and sign the declaration on the Promise Form.

Note that the tax that you pay must be more than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your charitable donations; also, so that the Church to reclaim tax on your giving, there should only one name on (each) Promise Form.

Please give both parts of the completed Promise Form to the Church Gift Aid Secretary: Barbara Tuckwell.

Over the years many people have played a part in the life of our church. Your generosity will ensure that St Mary’s can continue the important work of Ministry in the community for future generations.
