There are many opportunities for you to get involved in the life of Plumtree church financially, organisationally and administratively.
Donating to St Mary's
We welcome all donations made to St Mary's. If you are a UK taxpayer, St Mary's can reclaim 25p for every £1 that you donate. Simply enclose your gift in one of the yellow Gift Aid envelopes available in church, but please remember to fill in your details.
Please make cheques payable to St Mary's PCC, Plumtree.
St Mary’s church has stood as a landmark for over 1100 years, and has served the community in times of joy and sorrow. It is a focus for our community life together, deserving our support to maintain it, not only for our benefit but for future generations.
To fund this, we ask for your financial support via regular (planned) giving to enable us to maintain our church and continue to fund the work of care in our communities. There are full details of how you can contribute on our Planned Giving page.
Church Electoral Roll
This is the Plumtree ecclesiastical parish's register of electors. Being on the Church Electoral Roll is a way of demonstrating your willingness to help shape the future of the Church, not just locally, but nationally and even internationally. Full details on our Electoral Roll page.
Helping In and Around the Church
There are many routine activities associated with running the church which are nevertheless essential to the wellbeing of the church and only require a small commitment of your time. Full details on our Helping In Church page.
Opportunities to Assist During Services
To ensure that church services run smoothly, there are certain tasks that can be delegated to lay members of the congregation. Full details on our Assisting During Services page.
The Parochial Church Council (PCC) is a team made up of the clergy and lay members of the church. Together they are responsible for the overall wellbeing of the church (practical as well as spiritual), the church members and the church buildings. Full details on our Parochial Church Council page.
The activities described above are inward looking - they keep our church functioning for the current congregation. Now we'll consider opportunities to spread the word further afield - essential if our church is to thrive during the current millennium. Full details on our Media Opportunities page.
