This map of our churchyard highlights those areas we are going to leave unmown during the summer months.
The areas are close to the Garden of Rest (where there is already an existing area for wild flowers)
and also along the borders of the churchyard. We have, hopefully, avoided including any graves in these areas.
It may take several years for wildflowers to become established, but this is the first step
to making our churchyard a wildlife friendly area.
Bird boxes have also been put up and the bird feeders have been attracting wild birds throughout the winter.
We have also planted two small fruit trees, again near the Garden of Rest.
We will keep you updated as our plans continue to unfold.
